PhD - Co-founder & Tech Director
Dr. Peili Teo is the Co-founder of Bioactivx. She holds a PhD in biomedical materials and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the California Institute of Technology in the laboratory of Prof. Robert Grubbs, a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry. With more than twenty years of experience in biomaterials research and development, Dr. Peili serves as a Principal Scientist at the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering (IMRE), A*STAR, where she leads work in advanced materials innovation. She has published over 25 internationally peer-reviewed journal articles spanning biomedical materials, polymer chemistry, and translational applications.
Yew Lok
MD, PhD - Co-founder & Clinical Lead
Dr. Yew Lok Woo is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Singapore General Hospital with more than twelve years of clinical experience. His expertise spans fracture management, musculoskeletal trauma, and complex reconstructive procedures. At Bioactivx, Dr. Yew Lok provides clinical guidance on product development and trial design, ensuring strong alignment with real-world clinical needs and evidence-based practice. He has authored over ten peer-reviewed publications in orthopaedic surgery, contributing to advancements in surgical techniques and patient outcomes.
Mickey Cheong
Co-founder & COO
Mickey Cheong brings over fifteen years of experience in product and engineering, with leadership roles at Carousell and PaySense spanning large-scale consumer technology and financial services. He currently leads AI Agent Workforce product strategy at Sendbird, a global B2B messaging infrastructure company. A seasoned entrepreneur, Mickey has founded multiple ventures—including HiredTurf, Chowbunga, SimplyBonus, and Exoro, bringing deep expertise in product development, technical execution, and operational scale to Bioactivx.
