Overview
Magloy Tech, a spin-off from the National University of Singapore, specialises in bioresorbable magnesium implants for orthopaedics and trauma surgery. Their first product, OrthoMag, dissolves over time, eliminating the need for implant removal surgeries associated with traditional titanium or steel implants. The company collaborates with top biomedical implant manufacturers to design magnesium implants for various medical applications like orthopaedics, neurosurgery, and maxillofacial surgery. This innovation can significantly reduce post-surgery complications and risks related to permanent bone implants, potentially revolutionizing the field of osteosynthesis.
